1. What PoolDraw is — and is not
PoolDraw is an organisational tool that helps groups of people manage lottery ticket-buying syndicates. It provides tools for recording contributions, logging ticket numbers, and calculating how winnings would be distributed among members.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use PoolDraw. By creating an account, you confirm you are 18 or over. PoolDraw is intended for use in the United Kingdom.
You must not use PoolDraw if you are prohibited from participating in lottery activities in your jurisdiction.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
One person may not create accounts on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent.
4. Syndicate organisers — your responsibilities
If you use PoolDraw to manage a syndicate as an organiser, you take on additional responsibilities:
- Buying tickets: you are responsible for actually purchasing the lottery tickets your syndicate has agreed to enter. PoolDraw logs ticket numbers but does not purchase tickets.
- Accurate records: you are responsible for entering correct ticket numbers. PoolDraw provides validation tools, but the accuracy of entries is your responsibility.
- Member agreements: you should have a clear agreement with your syndicate members about contribution amounts, frequency, the draw(s) you enter, and how winnings will be distributed.
- Member data: you are responsible for ensuring members know their data is held on PoolDraw. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Collecting contributions: PoolDraw may record who has paid, but it does not collect or transfer money between members. Contributions must be managed separately by the organiser.
5. Accurate ticket entry
PoolDraw provides number validation to help reduce entry errors (checking numbers are within valid ranges and contain no duplicates). However:
- Validation does not guarantee that entered numbers match the actual physical ticket purchased
- You should always verify entries against the physical ticket or official confirmation
- PoolDraw is not responsible for any loss arising from incorrectly entered ticket numbers
We strongly recommend retaining the original ticket (physical or digital) for every draw, and using the optional photo upload feature as a backup record.
6. Winnings calculation
PoolDraw's winnings split calculator is a tool to assist with distribution calculations. It is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.
- Final winnings calculations should always be verified independently before any distribution takes place
- PoolDraw is not responsible for disputes arising from winnings distribution within a syndicate
- We strongly recommend all syndicate members agree to a written distribution arrangement before a win occurs
7. Subscription and payment
PoolDraw may offer paid subscription plans. Where paid plans are available:
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, on a monthly or annual basis as selected
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Payments are processed by Stripe. PoolDraw does not store your payment card details
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' written notice to existing subscribers
During the beta period, PoolDraw is provided free of charge to invited testers. Beta access may be withdrawn at our discretion.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use PoolDraw to:
- Operate any form of unlicensed lottery, prize competition, or gambling activity
- Deceive syndicate members about ticket purchases, contributions, or winnings
- Upload illegal content, including content that infringes third-party intellectual property
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools to access the service in a way that disrupts other users
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
PoolDraw is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we exclude all liability for:
- Loss of data or inaccurate records arising from user error
- Any loss of lottery winnings, however caused, including as a result of incorrect ticket entry, missed draws, or service unavailability
- Disputes between syndicate members regarding contributions or winnings distribution
- Service interruptions, downtime, or loss of access
- Indirect, consequential, or special losses of any kind
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to PoolDraw in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
10. Intellectual property
The PoolDraw application, its design, and all associated content are our intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
Data you enter into PoolDraw (ticket numbers, member records, contribution history) remains your data. We do not claim ownership of it.
11. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of PoolDraw after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where practical.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
